Analyse - Verzamelterm voor onderzoek. Verzameling van bijvoorbeeld een systeembeschrijving, gegevens, gebruikerswensen, etc.. Een grondige analyse is vereist om tot effectieve BI oplossingen te komen. Analyse moet wel pragmatisch aangepakt worden. Het dient een doel en moet niet het doel zelf worden.
