Business Directory - A business directory is an external database holding information about companies in a given industry and in a given country. One example of a business directory is the Dun & Bradstreet WorldBase directory.
In master data management, a business directory may be used as a source for master data. Specifically, it can be used to verify and to enrich party master data such as customer master data in business-to-business (B2B) activities and supplier master data.
A business directory may therefore be included in customer data integration and for ensuring accurate and timely supplier master data in product data quality.
