Business Rule - A statement that defines or constrains some aspect of the business. Business rules may start as business policies, goals, strategies and guidelines; they are expressed as declarative statements, constraints or predicated actions. Business rules are used to create database, application, or process logic. They are often managed with a Business Rules Engine.
