enterprise viewpoint - Describes the business or organizational perspective, context, purpose, scope and policies governing a distributed information system. The ORM enterprise viewpoint highlights geospatial location as a fundamental information ingredient and provides a representative value chain of geospatial information within an enterprise or an information community. The ORM enterprise viewpoint includes the major requirements on OGC technology as derived from the described value chain.
