Entity - A real-world object, observation, transaction, or person about which data are to be stored in a database.

Entity - A person, place, thing, concept, or event that the organization wants to store information about. Entities are the "nouns" that appear in transactions. Examples are Customer, Location, Product, Project, Document. Entities have relationships to each other. Information about entities are stored in attributes.
