Nutting Truck - A wheeled container that is used to move or store small quantities of mail within a postal facility. The container, which consists of a platform and two slatted ends to restrain loads, can be moved by hand or by tractor. It was named for its designer, Elijah Nutting. (Also see mail transport equipment (MTE).) (Also called platform truck or trailer, float, or tram.)
