OpenGIS Implementation Specification - A document containing a computing platform dependent specification for application program interfaces, protocols etc. OpenGIS Implementation Specifications contain detailed software specifications for implementing standard interfaces, protocols etc. on particular distributed computing platforms such as the Web, SQL, OLE/COM and CORBA.
