Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) - A company that uses product components from one or more other companies to build a product that it sells under its own company name and brand. Sometimes mistakenly used to refer to the company that supplies the components.

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) - An Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is a company developing and manufacturing standardized products or modules, which are then incorporated into end products using the reseller's brand name. OEM, when used to describe software, is used to differentiate that version of the software which is bundled with other hardware or software from that same software package sold on its own as a retail package. When a customer purchases an OEM product often only a limited number of changes like branding or labeling are done.
