The national languages are English and Palauan , the most widely spoken language. There are some 600 speakers of Sonsorol , and 22 of Tobian on Tobi Island.
Recently independent of the United States of America, it still forms part of the United States’ postal system. Its state code is PW and its postal codes (ZIP Code) are 96939 and 96940.
The name of the island may be included in the address.
