The official languages are English and Swati (650 000 speakers). There are also 19 000 Tsonga -speakers and 76 000 Zulu -speakers.
Women usually take their husband’s name upon marriage.

Deliveries are only to post office boxes or private bags. Addresses written in a non-native language will be written in English.
Though postal deliveries are only to mailing addresses, street addresses will be found for the use of couriers, visitors etc. As not all streets are named, these may often be descriptive and unstructured. Examples:

The postal code (known locally as Post Code) consists of a letter (the first letter of the name of the region - an H, L, M or S) followed by three digits (indicating the post office). The names of the regions are:

Swaziland does not have area codes. From 1st April 2010 (mobile numbers) and 1st February 2011 (fixed numbers) all subscriber numbers have 8 digits when called from abroad. This was achieved through adding a 2 in front of 7-digit fixed-line numbers and 7 in front of 7-digit mobile numbers.
