Data Cube - In a Data Warehouse context, a cube is a three- (or higher) dimensional array of values, commonly used to describe a time series of data in a common subject area. For example, information in a Sales cube might be viewed by different dimensions: over time, by products, by sales location, etc.

Data Cube - A multidimensional structure that forms the basis for analysis applications. Cubes have three dimensions and allow for a variety of calculations and aggregations. The dimensions can usually be pivoted in reports.
