medium-format printer - [printing] A printing device capable of producing an image on paper or other media sized between 15 and 35 inches (38 and 90 centimeters) wide. Medium-format printers typically use inkjet printing technology to print an image on a roll or sheet-fed media. While most large-format printers are large, free-standing units, most medium-format printers are small enough to fit on a desk.
