Network Diagram - An illustration of interconnected nodes, groups or systems. This tool provides a 'Big Picture' of a network, allowing analysis to be easier and quicker, as each node's location, connection and relationships to other nodes is realized. Additionally, a network diagram helps people get up to speed quickly, instead of memorizing the network over time, a person has a quick reference to turn to, allowing a new person to be a productive part of the team more quickly. Both the flow diagram and the tree diagram are types of network diagrams commonly used in Lean Six Sigma.
