The national language is Standard Arabic . There are 44 280 (1.2%) speakers of Adyghe ; 700 000 (17.8%) speakers of Levantine Bedawi Spoken Arabic ; 50 000 (1.3%) speakers of Najdi Spoken Arabic and 3 500 000 (88.7%) speakers of South Levantine Spoken Arabic .

People with an engineering degree are addressed
Al’Muhandis [name] (male) Al’Muhandisah [name] (female)
and doctors are addressed:

The postal code consists of a block of 5 digits. The first indicates the region, the second the department, the third a zone, the fourth a sector and the last a unit (quarter or village).
Codes do not begin with 0 or numbers in the range 79-98.

Jordan has twelve governorates (muhafazat, singular - muhafazah). They are:

All Jordanian area codes have a length of 1 digit when called from abroad. Mobile numbers have the area code 7. Geographic numbers have subscriber numbers of 7 digits, mobile numbers have 8 digits.
