The whole population speaks English , with many speaking the Pitcairn-Norfolk dialect as a second language.
Pitcairn has the distinction of having the world’s simplest address format. As there are only 47 inhabitants, the format is:

In most cases, a given name is sufficient. Post from abroad, for correct routing, will need to be addressed as follows:
Name [PCRN 1ZZ] [Pitcairn Islands] [South Pacific (via New Zealand)]
Post may take up to 3 months to reach the Islands.
