Tips for practical management of personal name data
This chapter summarises personal name patterns in different countries, where possible. It should be taken as a general guideline and no more - personal name patterns vary within and between countries, ethnic groupings, social groupings and so on. The patterns below show the general patttern for the country concerned. In some cases multiple patterns may be found, and in most cases the exact pattern is more complex than described below.
