The Isle of Man is a Crown Dependency within the British Commonwealth. It is not part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Except in matters of foreign affairs and defence, it is effectively an independent nation, and its inhabitants are fiercely proud of their status. Do not use the words ‘United Kingdom’, ‘Great Britain’ or ‘England’ in the address.
