Window Envelope - An envelope produced with one or more openings, usually glassine covered, through which the address of a direct-mail piece shows along with some color or teaser copy, if there are two areas. The window envelope is preferred for computer-addressed personalized mail which can be folded to show the address and thus not need a separate Addressing_ on the envelope.
